Product Overview

High Viscosity HPAM (Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide), also referred to as PHPA polymer, is a water-soluble polymer specifically developed for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) polymer flooding applications.
The BLUFLOC® HPAM PHPA Series from Bluwat Chemicals is engineered to increase injection water viscosity, improve mobility control, and enhance oil displacement efficiency in mature oilfields.

By modifying the flow characteristics of injected water, HPAM polymer flooding significantly improves sweep efficiency and increases ultimate oil recovery.


How HPAM Works in Polymer Flooding

In conventional water flooding, injected water often channels through high-permeability zones, leaving significant oil trapped in low-permeability areas.
High viscosity HPAM polymer solves this by:
